FAQ

CANDLES

How long do I burn Catherine Matilda candles for?

It is recommended to burn all candles until the top layer of the candle is liquified, before turning them off. This is to prevent tunnelling and for the wax to melt evenly around the jar.

I have an event and would like custom made candles. Can I order this?

We are more than happy to make candles for your special event, whether it be weddings or birthdays just email us!

What type of wax and fragrance oil do you use?

At Catherine Matilda, we use 100% soy wax which is sourced locally and made in the US. Soy wax is completely natural and biodegradable. All our fragrance oils are vegan/cruelty free, nontoxic and do not contain palm oil.

Our pillar candles (all candles without a jar) are made from palm wax which is environmentally friendly. We source our palm wax from a company which purchases their palm wax from a manufacturer who has been in the oleo chemical industry for over 15 years and is an active member of the Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). This organisation is committed to responsible and sustainable use of natural resources. All raw materials are procured from sustainable plantations.

How long do Catherine Matilda Candles last for?

The approximate burn time is listed on each specific candle description. Please note this is only an approximate and each candle burn time may vary.

I've finished burning my candle, can I bring back my candle for a refill?

Yes, of course! Bring back your Catherine Matilda candle jar and we can refill it at a special cost. Please email us if you would like to do this!

I have placed my order but want to change it to a different scent.

If you change your mind on scent choice please email us within 24 hours of placing your order. If the scent is in stock, we are more than happy to make that change for you.
